In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue
his worthy travels allowed us a weekend to screw
for Spain he traveled in the name of the king
all to allow us a peak at Barbie's pussy ring
to the new world he headed to find new riches
and in his honor we pleasure our bitches
With our fearless leader, known as Bella Vita Boy
We load our boats with sibians, vibrators and other sex toys
So let us fuel our boats, stock provisions and set to go
all in search for the elusive camel toe.

And SeaLife842 has agreed to sing his Columbus Day song for everyone at the regatta over our DJ Sound System! LOL (by the way Kevin, that was priceless! LOL! Good job!)
That's the good news...
The bad news is that the weather isn't cooperating really well and the forecast is for high winds and 40%-50% chances of rain much of the weekend.
But everyone knows that the weatherman's forecast has never stopped us from having fun before, and it won't stop us this weekend either.
We are usually anchored straight west of the wooden dock on Elliott Key at GPS coordinates:
N 25 28.702
W 80 11.649
We will post our EXACT GPS coordinates once we get anchored!
There are two small piers on Elliott Key. If you go to the north pier that is about 1/4 - 1/2 mile south of Sands Cut, then go straight west of the pier to the white bouy that marks the "Slow Speed, No Wake Zone" you will find us near there. We are usually about 25 feet East of the white bouy. If you don't see us there, then you are at the wrong bouy. The white bouys run in a line going North and South, so just go to the next bouy and we'll be there.
If there is foul weather or the winds are bad like the weatherman is predicting, especially if the winds are coming strongly out of the east, then we will probably anchor farther to the east, bringing us closer to the shore of Elliott Key in order to get us out of the winds and bouncy waters. After all, it's no fun being rafted up with boats and having the water bounce you around all weekend, lol
Also, the farther east we are anchored, then the fewer boats there will be that are anchored between us and Elliott Key, and that's important when the winds start to blow really hard, because if those boats pull loose from their anchors, then the wind is going to blow them straight west into all the boats anchored to the west of them, and we don't want to be there.
Which brings up another point... Make sure you that have a good anchor that will hold your boat solidly in place in 25 mph winds. If you don't, then be sure to get one, this is important or you could end up blowing into other boats. And if you're rafted up with other boats, then you could be responsible for pulling them loose, and you don't want that.
We're all set and ready to go and we're looking forward to a great weekend of fun! We still plan to leave Thursday morning and will be meeting up with all the members of our Fab-5 when they join us on Friday.
If you don't already have a Fab-5 that's okay. Just find us and anchor 75' from us (as required by the coast guard) and as other Bella Vita members arrive that don't have their own Fab-5 then we will direct them to raft up with you. We will be casually monitoring channel 72. "Casually" means, don't expect us to be on it all the time, but if we're on it, that's where we'll be.

Hey Bella Vita Clubbers!! We have been to the Columbus Regatta only once before BUT this is by far the only way to go and do this famous event. It's turn up the heat and hit the highest notes. We're getting geared up and will be coming to the pre party to meet and great all. We are new members as of two days ago!!! Let's hear it for the new members!!! Our boat is a black 39' Midnight Express open bow center council. We're coming down from the Lighthouse Pt. area and looking for a place to sleep us three (1 couple with a single gal ) We would appreciate any tips that would help us best be prepared and maximise the experiance since this is our first dip in your pool. We all are looking forward to see everyone. Remember, if you rest, you'll rust and unless your living near the edge, your taking up too much room........

Just get make your way down with extra blankets and pillows. I recommend bringing an air mattress. At the very least, you will have a bow on one of the cabin cruisers to sleep comfortably. Find my boat, Carribean Lynx next to the Barbi Girl. I will try to help find you a place to crash.

To Barbie, we can custom design a cover for your Avon. When Inflatable Experts was in business in Fort Lauderdale, we were their exclusive provider of custom covers.

I just received a message from Ms. Barbi and Bella Vita Boy who are heading down to Elliot Key this morning. Although the weather outlook may be rainy and windy (check the forecast and sea reports) our FAB 5 has confirmed attendance. Barbi suggested that all members bring extra lines, fenders and a good anchor. The bottom by Elliot can be hard to get a good anchor setting. Also Barbi will be posting her exact coordinates once they set anchor later today! Let the party begin.

And for once, the weatherman was right! It's very windy, about 20 mph NNE winds and the water is very choppy in Biscayne Bay. We have anchored MUCH closer to the docks on the shore of Elliott Key than we normally anchor so that we can get more protection from the island and be in a little calmer winds waters.
Our GPS Coordinates are: N25' 28.722 W80' 11.507
The photo below is EXACT. If you don't have a GPS, then to get your bearings locate Sands Cut. We are 1 mile South of Sands Cut, and we are 900 feet west of the wooden docks on the Elliott Key shoreline.

We are spending the night anchored here to test how bouncy it is. If it is too bouncy, then we will move 400 feet closer to the wooden docks so that we are only 500 feet west of the docks, but so far, it seems like this location will work out great!
Tomorrow you can look for these boat names rafted up with us in this order from Port to Starboard:
Caribbean Lynx: 34' Formula
Barbie Girl: 42' Meridian Sedan Bridge
HeadHunter: 42' Cruiser Yachts
Doctors Orders: 27' Chaparral
No matter what the weather, we always have fun with our Bella Vita friends so we're looking forward to a great weekend!!!

The weather so far today is beautiful with blue partly cloudy skies! And since the wind is switching around from the North over to the East, Elliott Key Island is protecting us much more now so the chop in the water has calmed down a lot too, so we will be staying anchored right where we are at the location described in my posting above.
We're looking forward to seeing everyone and having a great weekend no matter what the weatherman says!
